The 2013 Chronicles: Princess Yuki

   March of earlier this year my father went to the ER and was admitted to the hospital due to a septic infection and a 101-105+ fever, he spent 4 days there. The first night that he was admitted we discovered a purebred Ragdoll kitten on our doorstep when my mother and I got home from the hospital. She must have just recently gotten out because she was well groomed and clean, you can tell that this is not an outdoor cat. We took it in and took care of it for a few days until we discovered the owner, we attempted to give her back that week but whoever was there wouldn't answer the door so we gave the kitten to the next door neighbor. After a few days, She showed back up in our backyard, starving like shes been out the entire time since we gave her to the neighbor. That night we attempted once again to give her back yet to have to give her to the neighbor, after she came back yet a third time we decided to keep her and got her fixed.

   We named her Yuki after the Japanese word for Snow, It's been over 6 months since we first decided to keep her and she's grown into such a good cat. I don't believe shes your typical house cat, I think she fits right in to the families wackiness personalities. Animals have a 6th sense when it comes to people who are sick in a way ... When my father got out of the hospital she took a liking to my dad and now sleeps with him nightly and follows him around the house typically telling him she wants to play. She would meow at him and have him follow him into the living room and lay on her toys telling him she wants to play. I will go into more detail regarding my dad in the future.

You have no idea how active, playful, and fun this kitten is. We absolutely love her, my dad plays with her consistently, altho sometimes we think shes half dog as you can tell by the huge hole she created in the box we gave her with her chews ... who ever heard of a cat that chews though boxes?! Speaking of boxes ...

She absolutely loved the DR Pepper boxes with the plastic we get from the store, She waited inside the plastic and loved to be carried around in it and pushed around.

Surprised to see me? (Cardboard is on the grown that she screwed up from a bigger piece) We're trying to stop her from chewing on things but she just does it. Better then her biting on the furniture, or worse ... us :P In some ways I think she was meant to come to us, she's been fun to be around and it keeps my dad occupied while he's been recovering from tests and future treatment. She's become part of the family but you can say that she adopted us ... and we are happy to have her.

Last day at deviantART

Hey everyone,

It saddens me to say that this is my last day working for deviantART, It's been a great 2 years working at such a great company but I don't plan on going anywhere. I'll be around posting some photos here and there and keeping an eye on the site, watching it transform from the sidelines.

Thanks to all my co-workers here at deviantART for the wonderful two years we had, I will never forget it.

29th Birthday

Well, Today is my 29th birthday. I don't normally do anything on my birthday, just the usual: Have dinner with friends, birthday cake, sit around on the computer and screw around. Lately Borderlands 2 and The Yogscast Minecraft video's and taking a lot of my free time among other things.
